When faced with extraordinary situations, anything can happen. With proper training
and education the ability to make the right decisions in these “extraordinary situations”
is essential. Approximately 600 people die annually in South Africa as a result
of fire and at least 4000 more are injured. Fire losses amount to well in excess
of R500 million Per Annum in damage to buildings and material assets.
Our fire fighting training courses are aimed at training learners in "basic" fire
fighting skills, in order to minimize loss of life and property, by extinguishing
fires in their early stages. The best method of stopping a fire is to Prevent it.
The actions taken to control a fire during the first few minutes following its discovery
will determine whether it will be contained or will it spread. Should a fire break
out, having fire fighting systems in place will help save lives and loss of property.
Firefighting courses
The fire safety courses progress from a 4 hour General Fire Awareness to a 16 hour Advanced
Fire Fighting course.
Note: When determining the number of fire fighters that need to be trained in a company,
the same principal is adopted as per the First Aid ratio, which is 1:50 ratio, with
a minimum of 2 per company or building. It is also advised to train as many people
in this life saving / preventative skill.
Firefighting is a skill every workplace and home environment needs. Fires spread
fast. Take action. Call Action.
