HOME 0861 ACTION

All health care professionals in South Africa are compelled to complete a series of accredited CPD activities each year in order to acquire new and updated levels of knowledge, skills and ethical attitudes..

As at January 2009 HPCSA will be conducting mandatory audits on registered practioners to ensure compliance, thereafter 21 days will be given to the individual to submit a CPD Portfolio. Should the individual be found not compliant, he will be given 6 (six) months to comply with the requirements. After six months you will be audited and should you be found not yet compliant, your name will be handed over to the professional board for deregistration as complying with the CPD requirements is a prerequisite for your continuous practising of your profession. Basic Ambulance Assistant’s are required to obtain 30 CEU’s over a 24 month period.
